The June 26th event at Newcastle Island was a great success. We had about 25 who joined in, with participation from our Executive, new members, sponsors, and some of our long standing volunteers.
Holding the event at Newcastle proved to be a big hit as we found a nice private spot with shade from a large oak tree. The tent was erected, flags hoisted, picnic tables covered with delicious apples and very capable bartender’s keeping everyone refreshed with cool drinks.
Half of the group came by boat and the others by ferry. What a terrific afternoon to have our first club social in over a year and a half.
