Reciprocal Yacht Clubs by Region

Reciprocal Privileges and Guidelines

One of the many benefits of membership in the Schooner Cove Yacht Club is reciprocal moorage agreements with other yacht clubs.  You can moor your vessel at low cost or no cost at many private and public marinas along the British Columbia and Washington coasts with various rules and conditions established at each club.

The information provided on the following pages is a summary of all clubs with which we have reciprocal arrangements. The club information has been compiled using data from yachtdestinations.org and through direct contact with various yacht clubs.  SCYC is a registered member of yachtdestinations.org and, as with all member clubs, provides the website with club information.  SCYC members are strongly encouraged to check the yacht destinations website for up-to-date information before setting out on a cruise.  The website provides far more comprehensive information than is summarized in the following pages.  It is extremely useful in planning your cruises.  You are encouraged to follow the website registration procedures and then enjoy free access to the data.  SCYC pays a fee to be a member of yachtdestinations.org.

At the end of the year SCYC checks all member club data to ensure it is as accurate as possible. However it is subject to change without notice so calling ahead is strongly recommended.

The success of the reciprocal program very much depends on the generosity of Fairwinds Marina. It also depends on the willingness of you, our SCYC members, to advise the marina staff when your slip at Schooner Cove is vacated for more than 24 hours so that it can be put into the reciprocal program. KINDLY ENSURE THAT YOU ADVISE THE FAIRWINDS MARINA OFFICE WHEN YOUR SLIP IS AVAILABLE.
