BMW Lasqueti Island Regatta Registration

  • Valid entries consist of 2 digits only. Round to the nearest length in feet, for example, 33' 4" would round down to 33, and 33' 7" would round up to 34.
  • Cruising Division - Boats that do not have a valid BC or NW PHRF certificate or are displacement limited, not race-prepared and/or short crewed are invited to join the Cruising Division. Boats in this division will be assigned a single event non-appealable rating at the time of registration. Boats with a current PHRF certificate wishing to enter the Cruising Division may be assigned a different rating.
  • MEAL TICKETS

  • Please tell us how many meals you and your crew would like during the regatta weekend. Additional meals for crew can be ordered from a separate form, found on the regatta drop-down menu, no later than May 25.
  • FRIDAY NIGHT - Dinner buffet will be served on the green, catered by the Nanoose Bay Cafe. Three options are available for advance purchase at $35 (includes tax and gratuity). Meals include a choice of three salads and lemon tart desert. Please indicate the expected number of each option that you would like.
  • SATURDAY NIGHT Complimentary hot vegetarian minestrone stew will be served at the event tent until 1am.
  • SUNDAY MORNING A breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, sausages & bacon, hash browns, grilled tomatoes & mushrooms, fruit salad) will be served in the event tent prior to the awards ceremony and can be purchased for $25. Please indicate how many you would like.

    Note: The BMW Lasqueti Island Regatta registration fee is based on your boat length at a rate of $4.00 per foot. Registration fee includes complimentary moorage for boats racing, a bagged breakfast on Saturday morning, a hot meal Saturday evening after the race and our legendary great prizes.

    To complete your registration, please email a scanned copy or photograph of your insurance and PHRF-NW or BC certificate (as applicable) to Registrar@scyc.ca. Participation in the 2024 BMW Lasqueti Island Regatta is subject to the conditions of the Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions and subsequent amendments published on the SCYC website (www.scyc.ca) or at the official regatta notice board at the event tent. Our email address to set up SCYC as a payee on your electronic banking is treasurer@scyc.ca. We are a direct deposit account so a password should not be required. If your financial institution does require you to set up with a password, please use SCHOONER. Questions or concerns regarding e-Transfers should be directed to treasurer@scyc.ca.
  • WAIVER AND RELEASE In consideration of acceptance of this application for enrollment in the regatta, the owner/skipper warrants THAT they are the "person in charge" of the above-noted vessel, THAT the vessel meets the requirements set forth in the Notice of Race, and hereby RELEASES, RELIEVES AND DISCHARGES the Schooner Cove Yacht Club (SCYC), its sponsors, organizers, directors, officers, employees, servants, agents or other persons authorized by it, from any and all claims that the owner, his dependents and heirs, his personal representatives and assigns, or any of his crew may have for injury, including injury resulting in death or disablement, however caused, sustained by the owner or crew or for loss of or damage, however caused, to personal belonging suffered at any time during the course of involvement with the regatta program, or while on the premises of Fairwinds Marina, or Schooner Cove Yacht Club, however so caused. I hereby certify that the yacht/boat described above is covered by third party insurance in an amount not less than $2,000,000 Cdn. In witness hereof, the owner has executed this release and insurance certification as dated below. I agree to be bound by The Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event. I do hereby declare that my vessel complies with the minimum applicable Transport Canada Standards. Permission is granted to Schooner Cove Yacht Club to use event photos that may include my vessel and/or myself and crew to be shown on the scyc.ca website.
