The weatherman is promising that it won’t rain (too much) and SE winds 10-20. Attached is the course.

Winter Rally #3 — Feb 19, 2023

Rally time again!
Given Sunday is Super Bowl and in respect our football fans, our next rally will be Saturday, February 11. Skippers meeting at 1000.
Big Wave Dave says winds will be a steady 10 kts SE throughout the day, and we might get a bit of sun!

I forgot that NYC’s sail trim seminar (to which SCYC has been invited) is on Saturday.
Let’s schedule Rally #3 for next week, Sunday, February 19.

I can’t find a forecast with more than 2-3 Kts of wind tomorrow. Add to that, we only have two boats planning to participate.
Hence, I am cancelling Rally #3 and look forward Rally #4 next Sunday, February 26.

Winter Rally #4 — Feb 26, 2023
Commodore’s Preamble
Our next rally (Rally #4) is Sunday, February 26, if you can find your boat under the snow!
Current forecast is for lots of NW wind. Send me a short email if you’re in.
Course is attached, Skippers’ Meeting at 1000.

When I checked the boat, the snow in the cockpit was knee deep. Add to that, only one boat has signed up.
Faced with these conditions, Rally #4 is postponed to March 5.
