Ballenas Island: Day Cruise

Finally! – a social event that is compliant with current Covid restrictions! Our first Social activity of the year. This event is, however, weather dependent and all who participate must be fully vaccinated.
- Social members, or other members who would like to be a guest on another boat, please send an email to Grace at social@scyc.ca so we can keep track of numbers.
- Skippers interested in participating in this event, please email Grace at social@scyc.ca. Also indicate in email, if you are willing to take guests on your boat, and how many.
- All emails must be received by March 6 to ensure there are enough boats to accommodate all guest requests.
- On March 13 all guests needing boats, and all skippers willing to take guests will meet at the After Deck at 10:30.
- We will leave when everyone is ready.
- Be prepared to anchor in the bay at Ballenas, as the mooring buoys are no longer there.
- Boats can raft at anchor if they wish and although there are “No Trespassing” signs on shore, wandering the beach up to the high-water mark is fine.
- Bring the dinghy! A bit too cold to swim to shore.
- Bring lunch and your favourite people.
- We will cruise home sometime in the afternoon.
