About This Year’s Boat Light-Up
This year we are combining the boat Light-Up with the Fall SCYC Rally #5, so there will be much action and anticipation on the docks in the afternoon of December 12th.
The Rally will conclude at 14:00 to give skippers a chance to decorate their boats. The excitement will build up from there to the count-down at 17:00 sharp for lighting the SCYC Fleet. Conscientious skippers will have decked their hulls beforehand with the best string lights that Canadian Tire has to offer.

16:30 to 18:00
Duration of Christmas Boat Light-Up.

Nibbles and mulled wine will be served at Afterdeck. In respect of BC’s PHO directive, all participants gathering at the Afterdeck must be double-vaccinated.
17:00
Horn will signal Boat Light-Up.
17:00 to 17:20
Members inspect boats for best display.
17:20 to 18:00
Members vote for best adorned boat. Prizes, courtesy of Independent Marine will be awarded.
18:00 onward, optional
Members wishing to dine out can join SCYC groups of up to 12 and make a reservation for dinner for 1800 at the new Seascape restaurant. (First-come, first-served. Check Seascape’s menu and prices at seascapedining.ca) When making a reservation, indicate you are with SCYC and the staff will try to put our groups together at one end of the restaurant.
