SCYC’s 2020 Commodore’s Ball COVID Caper

Commodore Bob Delaney invites you to join him for SCYC’s official handover of duties to our 2021 Commodore & Executive!
Due to Covid restrictions, we cannot come together in person to celebrate. But please plan to watch the proceedings remotely, socially distanced and in the comfort of your own homes while enjoying some bubbly, appetizers, a bottle of wine and some dessert!
2:00 – 4:00 Pick up your SCYC “Sip & Savour” Party Pack containing some appetizers, dessert, a bottle of bubbly and your choice of a VQA red or white wine. Come to 3720 Remora Place, Nanoose, Bay. Covid-safe requirements will be in place for the distribution.
Party Pack Value: Over $60
Cost: $20 (The pack is for a couple. SCYC Member and partner/spouse)
7:00 ”While you “Sip” &“Savour” your Party Pack, login to SCYC’s website (scyc.ca) to join Commodore Bob Delaney as he welcomes SCYC’s 2021 Commodore and our 2021 Executive. The presentation of the infamous MEMA award will also be available to view.These are pre-recorded so the video will remain on the website for you to see at any time.
November 1 – Registration deadline for your “Sip & Savour” Party Pack. Please indicate if you prefer a bottle of red or white wine.
November 6 – Payment deadline $20 due by e-transfer to treasurer@scyc.ca or cheque dropped at outside mail slot at the Afterdeck. If you have to go inside please follow the Covid guide lines

Bob, I think this is a great idea. Your brother Grant (a fellow Comodore of Trident Yacht Club) and I did not have something like Covid-19 to deal with during our tours of duty. He would be, and, I am, proud of the way you are dealing with the challenge.
